Antique ring with original Japanese Satsuma porcelain miniature mounted in solid 9k rose gold.

The porcelain miniature is hand-painted with the portrait of a geisha in traditional attire. The fine line work and subtle gilded details are characteristic of high-quality Satsuma ware from the Meiji period, circa 1880.
The ceramic has been mounted at a slightly later date - likely late 19th to early 20th century - into a 9k rose gold ring.

The warm tone of the gold complements the luminous ivory glaze and deep cobalt blue border of the porcelain beautifully, creating a piece that feels both refined and quietly exotic.

Satsuma ceramics were among the most prized Japanese exports to Europe in the Victorian era, admired for their exquisite craftsmanship and romantic, dreamlike imagery.
