Antique Edwardian Necklace, 9k Rose Gold Amethysts Negligee Necklace

Antique necklace, crafted in 9k gold and natural amethysts.

Early 1900s, Edwardian to Art Deco era.

This lovely necklace blends the elegance of the Edwardian period with the geometric simplicity that would later dominate the Art Deco era. It features a classic lavalier design, with a round-cut amethyst at the top and a pear-shaped amethyst at the bottom. The stones are set in bezel settings with fine milgrain detailing, which adds a vintage charm and secures the gemstones in place. A slim gold bar link connects the two gemstones, giving the pendant a graceful elongation.

The stones exhibit a deep purple hue and well-executed cuts. Amethysts were especially popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, symbolizing royalty, wisdom, and tranquility. The delicate gold chain complements the pendant’s elegance, maintaining the necklace’s lightweight and refined aesthetic.
