Antique Citrin Intaglio Fob "Frances"

Antique fob seal, gold cased with hand-carved citrine.

Early 1900s, Edwardian age.

The beautifully hand-carved citrine is engraved with the name “Frances” in an elegant cursive script. The stone is generously sized and finely faceted, set in a gold cased mount with fluted detailing. The engraving appears reversed, as expected for a seal, meant to be pressed into wax.

Today, this piece can be worn as a fob on a chain, a pendant or cherished as a personal talisman or collector’s object.

The stone measures ca. 16 x 13 mm.

The fob is ca. 25.7 mm tall.
