Victorian Garnet Brooch, Crescent Moon & Star, Antique Celestial Jewel, Bohemian Garnets

Antique brooch crafted with Bohemian garnets set in gilt metal.

End 1800s, Victorian era.

This Victorian brooch features the iconic celestial combination of an eight-pointed star nestled against a crescent moon, fully set with deep red Bohemian garnets. The rose-cut garnets are arranged in graduated sizes, in a pavé setting, creating a vivid, glowing surface that catches the light with every movement.

The brooch is crafted in gilt metal, the traditional gold-coloured alloy used for authentic Bohemian garnet jewellery of the Victorian era. It retains its original 19th-century pin stem and hinge.

Weight: 5.6 grams.

Very good antique condition with signs of time and use to be expected in an antique piece of jewelry. There are a few small marks on one of the points of the crescent, possibly from an old repair. These are shown in detail in the photos and are barely noticeable to the naked eye.
