Attributed to Margot de Taxco, Vintage Taxco Snake Bracelet in 835 Silver and Enamel
Vintage hinged bangle bracelet crafted with solid silver and polychrome enamels.
Taxco, Mid 20th Century.
A real statement bracelet attributed to Margot de Taxco, fully enamelled in vibrant green and turquoise tones.
The coiled snake has articulated segments that wrap fluidly around the wrist. The modelling of the snake, the rhythmic scale pattern, the use of rich enamel, and the hinged construction are all highly characteristic of Margot de Taxco's celebrated work and of the Taxco silver tradition she helped define during the mid-20th century.
While the piece is not offered as signed, its design, craftsmanship, materials and overall aesthetic strongly support an attribution to Margot de Taxco or her workshop, and are fully consistent with documented examples from her production.
The bracelet opens via a hinged mechanism and closes securely, offering both comfort and a striking visual presence.
