Antique 14k Gold Star Pendant-Brooch with Old Mine Cut Diamond

This antique piece is a wonderfully engineered dual-purpose pendant and brooch, crafted in rich 14k gold and set with an old mine cut diamond at its centre.

Shaped as an ornate eight-pointed star, the piece is alive with intricate openwork scrolls, tiny trefoils, and crisp architectural lines typical of high-quality goldwork from the turn of the century. The craftsmanship is superb, with every little detail sharply defined.

On the reverse, you’ll find two mechanisms: a sturdy brooch pin, and a folding bale that disappears completely when not in use. This allows you to wear it either as a pendant or as a brooch, switching seamlessly depending on your mood or outfit. There is also a small hook at the bottom, which could be used to attach a pendant.

The old mine cut diamond has an estimated weight of 0.10 ct.
